Men’s Basketball (15-3, 4-1 in SEC)
Buzz Williams & Co. saw their eight-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday night as the Aggies fell to No. 12 Kentucky, 64-58, in gut-wrenching fashion in front of a record crowd at Reed Arena.

  • An arena record 14,036 were on hand to see the Aggies battle the Wildcats.
  • Texas A&M shot just 1-of-22 (4.5%) from 3-point range and 5-of-13 (38.5%) from the free-throw line.
  • Henry Coleman III was the only Aggie to reach double figures, scoring 17 points to go along with eight rebounds.

Texas A&M looks to get back on track on Saturday evening as they travel to Fayetteville for a rematch with the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Women’s Basketball (11-7, 1-5 in SEC)
The Aggies dropped their fifth SEC game of the year on Thursday night, falling to Ole Miss at Reed Arena, 80-63.

  • Kayla Wells had a team-high 14 points.
  • The Aggies lost the turnover battle, 17-6.
  • Ole Miss outscored Texas A&M 28-15 in the second quarter and 19-6 in the third quarter.

Texas A&M looks to get back on track on Sunday evening as the Aggies travel to Columbia to face the Missouri Tigers.

  • Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. CT, and the game will be televised on the SEC Network.

Track & Field
For their performances in the Ted Nelson Invitational, Lamara Distin and Kennedy Wade earned SEC Weekly Honors.

  • Distin was named the SEC’s women’s field athlete of the week after winning the high jump with an indoor personal best and meet-record clearance of 6-2/1.88m.
  • Wade was named the co-freshman of the week after she won the 400m with a time of 54.26.

The Aggies will run in the Texas Aggie Invitational this weekend at the Gilliam Indoor Stadium in Bryan-College Station.

  • The meet will begin at 1:30 on Saturday, and it will be streamed on the SEC Network+.
  • Houston Baptist, New Orleans, Northwestern State, Sam Houston, TCU, UTA and UTSA will also compete in the meet.

Men’s Tennis (1-0, 0-0 in SEC)
No. 19 Texas A&M defeated Arizona State on Wednesday afternoon in Tempe, 5-2.

  • The Aggies took the doubles point, 2-1.
  • Matthis Ross won his match over Max McKennon in straight sets (6-4, 6-3)
  • Guido Marson won his match over Nicola Cigna in straight sets (6-2, 6-3)
  • Guilio Perego won his match over Jacob Bullard in straight sets (6-4, 6-3)
  • Luke Casper won his match over George Stoupe in three sets (3-6, 6-3, 6-2)

The Aggies will return to action next weekend when they host ITA Kickoff Weekend at the Mitchell Tennis Center in Bryan-College Station.

  • No. 19 Texas A&M will face No. 25 UCLA on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT.
  • The Aggies will face either Texas Tech or No. 15 Arizona on Sunday.

Women’s Tennis (2-0, 0-0 in SEC)
No. 19 Texas A&M is back at the Mitchell Tennis Center this weekend for a Saturday afternoon doubleheader.

  • A&M faces Houston at 12 p.m. CT. The contest is not televised.
  • A&M faces Texas State at 4 p.m. CT. The contest is not televised.

Swimming & Diving
Both the men’s and the women’s teams will be in action on Saturday as the Aggies take on the LSU Tigers at the LSU Natatorium in Baton Rouge.

  • The meet begins at 11 a.m. CT, and it will not be televised.
  • The Aggies have not competed in over a month. The meet last swam against Incarnate Word on Dec. 3, and the women last swam against Rice on Dec. 4.
