What did Longhorn John want?

Longhorn John is an old friend. He’s usually a pretty good guy, but when discussing college football, he becomes a delusional, insufferable buffoon.

We hadn’t spoken since I saw him at his mother’s place in Austin a few years ago. That visit didn’t end well. I accused him of living in the past, which made his mood ring turn black.
