QB Max Johnson: In his first start for Texas A&M, Johnson did not make big plays, but he also avoided mistakes. He completed just 10-of-20 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown. Johnson’s longest completions covered just 25 yards. A swing pass to Devon Achane resulted in a 25-yard touchdown. He also completed a slant to Ainias Smith for a 25-yard completion. Though he only completed half of his passes, he was actually more accurate than the statistics reflect.
