Quickie notes from Dr. Loftin teleconference

* Bill Byrne will move into position of special advisor to me immediately until August 31 of this year. Then he'll retire.

* Bill's current contract runs through August 31, 2013. Needed to plan ahead and not wait until last minute.

* Bill and I haven't always seen eye-to-eye but we've been a team that has worked together to run a first class department.

* In September, when Byrne retires, he'll receive a settlement equal to his last year's value.
