2026 Waukee (IA) TE Evan Jacobson commits to Texas A&M

Texas A&M has just landed a huge piece to their 2026 class with Waukee (IA) TE Evan Jacobson‍.

He announced his verbal pledge to the Aggies to become the 27th member of the class.

Standing at 6-foot-7 and 220 pounds, Jacobson is one of the top prospects in the Midwest this cycle. He brings a lot to the Aggie tight end room with his long frame and ability to make tough catches. An all-state basketball player with dual-sport potential, he is a fluid athlete, and he also shows a physical side to his game as a blocker.

Jacobson also has a high level of athletic pedigree. His brother, Michael, played college basketball and professionally in Ukraine before making the transition to football and the NFL, where he was most recently a member of the New Orleans Saints.

This serves as a big win for tight ends coach Christian Ellsworth with the Aggies beating out other finalists Notre Dame, Stanford and Iowa State, as well as numerous high-level offers from across the country.

Doubt we are bumping him out to WR. At 6'6 220lbs, gotta put on a good deal of weight to play SEC tight end

Another Mike Evans would be incredible, but we are talking about a TE.

yeah he needs to be 245 or so, I would say especially for being 6'6 or 6'7

We've said this for years with taller, athletic WRs and TEs, and yet our dumb ass coaches can never seem to grasp the concept.

He's 6'7" and 17 years old. He'll be 250-260 naturally by the end of his freshman year.

I hope we hit on a HS TE soon. Meaning one that actually stays here all 3-4 years and is a difference maker. I thought it was going to be Green but another TE derailed by injury.

Hoping Thor makes another jump this season and is a key contributor.
