Elko's recruiting heater helping cure 'Summertime Blues' in Aggieland

The summer months could have been long and boring in Aggieland, but Mike Elko and his team of "Recruiting Avengers" saved the dog days through June and July. Over the last couple of months, the Aggies have welcomed 15 commitments in the class of 2026.

In 1958, Eddie Cochran released a song. It was popularly re-done in 1994 by Alan Jackson.

The title was "Summertime Blues," and it bemoaned the inability to enjoy the pleasures of life during the middle months of the year due to work obligations.

This year, Texas A&M fans may have felt the same way.
