
On Friday, Kaylee Dreyer took us around Aggieland as the Texas A&M soccer team faced off against the Baylor Bears to begin their season. A few more A&M football players were named to watch lists, and cross country announced its schedule.
Football
Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed was named to the Manning Award Preseason Watch List. Reed led all SEC quarterbacks in 2024 with 4.7 yards per carry, while his 49.4 rushing yards per game and seven rushing scores ranked No. 4 among quarterbacks in the league.
Mark Nabou Jr. was named to the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Preseason Watch List. The award honors the most outstanding college football player of Polynesian ancestry who shows ability and integrity on and off the field. Despite suffering a season-ending injury in the opener against Notre Dame, Mark has made 13 career starts and played in nearly 750 snaps for the Aggies.
Soccer
The offseason is officially over as the Texas A&M soccer team faced the Baylor Bears last night, which ended in a draw with a score of 1-1. Next up, the Aggies face the Lamar Cardinals Sunday at 7:30 p.m. here at Ellis Field.
Texas A&M soccer star Kaylee Noble claimed a spot on the United Soccer Coaches Preseason All-America Watch List. She spent her last two seasons at Cal State Fullerton, earning All-Big First Team and United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Third Team after her 2024 season. She also tallied an assist in last night’s game vs. Baylor.
Cross Country
The Texas A&M cross country team released its 2025 schedule, which includes two home meets at the Watts Cross Country Course. The Aggies will open their 2025 season in Fort Worth on August 29th, as their 2024 campaign ended with both the men's and women's teams securing top-six results at the NCAA regional.
