Two Fightin’ Texas Aggies have been tabbed as preseason All-Americans by the Associated Press.

This week, it was announced that Texas A&M’s Ar’maj Reed-Adams and Taurean York are among the AP’s All-Americans, with the former earning a first-team nod and the latter appearing on the second team.

A native of DeSoto, Reed-Adams started 12 games for the Aggies in 2024 and helped the Maroon & White’s rushing attack rank 26th nationally and second in the SEC with an average of 195.5 yards per game. Further, the Maroon Goon allowed just one sack on the year. According to Pro Football Focus, Reed-Adams had the nation’s fifth-highest offensive grade (79.7) and second-highest run-blocking grade (85.9).

Beyond being elected as a team captain in 2025, Reed-Adams was named a second-team All-SEC pick by the league’s media and a Walter Camp second-team preseason All-American. He appears on the Outland Trophy Watch List.

Hailing from Temple, York is entering his third season as a starter at linebacker. In 2024, he led the Aggies with 82 total tackles to rank 12th in the SEC. He had 9.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery in 13 starts. Now a junior, York has accumulated 156 total stops, 18 TFLs, 5.5 sacks and five pass deflections in 26 career games following a freshman season that saw him appear on ESPN’s Freshman All-American team as well as the SEC’s All-Freshman team.

This preseason, #21 was also named to the media’s All-SEC third team, as well as being a Walter Camp preseason All-America first-teamer. York’s name also appears on the Chuck Bednarik Award and Butkus Award watch lists.

Reed-Adams, York and the Aggies open the 2025 campaign in just 11 days as UTSA comes to Kyle Field on Aug. 30.

Sucks that we lost Hill and Perkins.

Stowers played the long game and stayed with it. He should be able to make good money as a flex TE in the pros
