Football
Daymion Sanford earned SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors, and Cashius Howell earned Defensive Lineman of the Week. This is the sixth time Texas A&M has won the defensive line weekly honor, and the fourth for Howell this season.
This past weekend, Texas A&M took down Missouri on the road, 38-17. The Aggies are 6-0 in the SEC for the first time since joining the conference in 2012 and will return home for their final conference game of the year to take on South Carolina this Saturday at 11 a.m.
Men’s Basketball
The Aggie men’s basketball team dropped its first game of the season to Oklahoma State, losing 87-63. They look to bounce back in their return to Reed Arena on Friday as they tip off at 7 p.m. CT versus UCF.
Volleyball
Maddie Waak was named SEC Setter of the Week for the second time this season after the team swept Auburn this past weekend. This win marked their 20th on the season and 12th in the SEC. The No. 6 Aggie volleyball team will take on the Florida Gators tonight in Gainesville, then close out the regular season at home against the Georgia Bulldogs on Sunday.
Women’s Basketball
The Aggie women's basketball team took down Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in their season opener at home, 81-43. They recorded 21 steals and held the Islanders to a 34.1 percent from the field on the night.
Fatmata Janneh was a standout in her first game as an Aggie, as she recorded her 28th career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Next up, the Aggies stay at home to take on Tarleton tomorrow at 11 a.m. CT in Reed Arena.
