Key notes from Michael Earley interview

  • It’s never a bad thing to win. It was good. We had some things to work on after Game 2, and the pitching was outstanding. 29 innings, no walks, no hit by pitches. With baseball, you play both sides of the ball. The game Friday came down to one team not executing sacrifice bunts, and that wasn’t us. In the end, we executed. Hitting is a skill thing.

  • You could easily hang your head and give up. There's no lack of effort.
