I just hope Robo uses this as motivation to go scorched Earth and not shut down mentally.
Bill Guerin is living in a "top 6/bottom 6" world which makes no sense in international play. Pick the best players. There's no reason to have checking line or a defensive line. Put the most talent out there and outscore the opposition. Robo, Caufield, Hutson...so much talent being left behind.

As a team USA fan this is ridiculous.

Bill Guerin hates the Stars and this is why you don't have an active NHL GM making these kind of decisions . JT Miller has been awful and lazy all season in NY and while I like Trocek ( hard worker , 200 ft game etc. ) to beat Canada you have to score goals . Nelson is a solid 2 way player , but was exposed in the 4 Nations last year and his numbers this year are inflated because he is playing on the best line ( with MVP McKinnon )and team in the world.
No American player has scored more goals than Robo over the last year . He has developed his game this year ( more checking , better board play and helping out on defensive end ) after being snubbed in 4 Nations , last year. Hopefully , Robertson will use this as fuel to reach 50 goals and 100 points this year and be a beast in Playoffs …… and eliminate the Wild.
