What is the purpose of NFL cheerleaders? Nobody "cheers" with them, the team darn sure doesn't pay attention to their "encouragement", and the crowd makes its own noise at the height of the action.. exactly what does he add to their purpose?

Eh, NFL is garbage and only useful for me for FF which is a great way to stay in touch with friends and maybe win a little money. Watching NFL is for morons. Attending games is a more of human zoo experience.

I will be tuning out as much if not all of this.

Saw a reddit post last night calling for green dil does to be thrown at nfl games with the male cheerleaders. Maybe this green dil do movement has legs.

Now the real question that everyone should be asking is....does he get to change in the same dressing room as the female cheerleaders?





But then, he might think it is gross.

Let's look at it the other way.

Women keep trying to "bust" into male dominated areas because "what a man can do, a woman can do better".

Now the women are getting all butt-hurt that a man is invading their spaces and may even do a better job than them.

We all know that the reality is that for 99% of tasks, men are better than women and the only reason women are in some jobs is because powerful men let them and give them priority just because they are women, not because they are better.

So I change my stand. Let this guy cause havoc in another female dominated space and piss everyone off. Let's give the women a taste of their own medicine.

I used to think the same way but this type of attitude is how we've gotten where we are.

Maybe this doesn't bother you but it does a lot of people. Way more than it probably seems anymore because people are now afraid to speak their true mind. They self sensor because they don't want to deal with the backlash.

What used to be "what happens behind closed doors doesn't affect you" is now prancing around on the field at an NFL game.

Won't say where, when or how. Ran across a young boy about 9 years old. I asked if he was in gymnastics. I am a fan of gymnastics. His response was "I'm in competitive cheer!" He acted like I offended him by asking if he was in gymnastics. Little dude seemed light in the loafers and was just a prissy little *****.

Felt bad for him and figure he will probably get a lot of ass kicking in his life. Probably already had a few. You can't be that damn flamboyant and not get your ass kicked.

OK, but I am enjoying watching the women and simpy men get annoyed by this.

I agree that it is NOT a pretty sight, but there is some entertainment value as well. That said, I am not letting my daughter do anything close to this. I want her to make her money using her brains.

You are aware that many, if not most of these cheer teams are choreographed by men, right?

No one is going to an NFL game to see gay cheerleaders.

You could argue no one is going for the purpose of seeing any of the cheerleaders and that would be mostly correct.

But I do not understand taking something you are passionate about, like dancing or performance art, and choosing to do that in an environment where it will be at the very least not appreciated, and in all likelihood mocked. Why not work with a theater or dance company? Or hell, just start a youtube channel and become an overnight sensation.

I think that's where I struggle with this. You know what the demographic is. You know who is watching and going to NFL games. None of those people are enjoying your performance and many don't even like that you are there. There's probably a decent percentage that hate that you even exist in the first place. You are not doing this because you love to dance. You are doing this to make a statement, to raise awareness, spark controversy, and get "likes". You don't need to be an NFL cheerleader. You need attention.

Also, the dancing itself could use some work.

In the case of the Minnesota Vikings, I'll concede their choreographer is a woman, Jacie Scott, who was also a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.
