I honestly don't know how anyone can watch the NFL anymore.

I do. It's the highest level of competition for far and away America's most popular sport. If a cheerleader stops you from watching the actual competition on the field, then you were really never a NFL fan to begin with.

Not the cheerleaders alone…but they are a handy exhibit of the problem.

But you're not wrong about a couple of things. Ive probably never been a big fan to begin with but did love watching the cowboys in the Aikman, Smith, et al days. Been more of a college and high school guy.

And it is the highest level of competition. But at some point players (and the sport) started using that as a platform to make social or political statements. And I dunno…people just wanna watch sports man, not deal with being beat over the head with propaganda. Between that and the barrage of commercials and advertising it's just not a great viewing experience for me. And with viewership down they need to be attracting viewers, not alienating them.

I personally wouldn't have hired a couple of twinks who could stand to eat few sandwiches, but good for them.

That approach is pretty gay.

Any of these would be a better choice.

The games are not fun. I've been to one NFL game in person, and it completely blows compared to the college atmosphere

I can understand if you grew up tailgating with friends and family for an NFL team, but that's really it

I can't even understand that. I do not see the appeal of loading up grills, coolers, utensils, food, generator, canopy, half the back yard, get to the stadium area two hours early, set all that up, play cornhole, cook, do your hey look at me I can grill routine, go to the game, then pack it all back up, drive home, and unpack it all.

I know people that drive over 6+ hours total and do this on a regular basis. I've been to a couple times with them. It's a really difficult trip. Get there early in the morning, tailgate all day, go to the game, and then drive home right afterward. Luckily, one of them doesn't drink. Regardless, it's a very LONG day. I haven't done this in probably 5-10 years. It's not worth it to me. I don't care that much for pro sports.

Also, I've never seen as many fights as I've seen at NFL football games. It's a completely different crowd than college games.

Drunk people with no college affiliation who want to support a team of some sort based on where they live or grew up or because they are bandwagon jumpers (Cowboys fan in south Texas and west Texas), all exhibiting machismo for no reason

Grown men should never wear a football jersey if they are not on the field. It's bad enough at a college game. It's so much worse at an NFL game.

Years ago I found a 1939 12th Man replica jersey at goodwill for $5. This was back when you got points for using your sports pass for anything but football. It was the highest reward tier and required something like 100 events to earn.

What are your thoughts on an adult wearing something like that?
