Yesterday my flight was delayed about two and a half hours, many of us missed connections, many of us had to stay at a hotel last night and leave this morning.
Most people were pretty cool about it but there were definitely a handful of people being whiny punkass little tools about it. Not one of them got home any faster than I did and 100% of those people seemed more miserable and got worse customer service than people taking it in stride.
Just try to be chill and be pleasant. It makes everything a lot easier.

Uber Eats often has buy one get one free specials at local restaurants. You can opt for pickup, and you will get two items for the price of one without the delivery fee.
Some of Chase business cards have no annual fee, high sign up bonuses, and you dont need an actual business to sign up for them, you just sign up as a sole prop with your SS #. These are typically the most churnable friendly credit cards as well. Can fly to Europe and other places for free by signing up for these cards.

My great Uncle and his son used to design golf courses back in the day before a bankruptcy. They got so big at one point they worked with Palmer and Nicklaus.
The son was in Tampa Bay doing some work on a course. On the way to the airport to catch a private plane back to DFW, the son got a call to come back for a quick meeting, so he decided to catch a later flight.

I'm not sure what a little Caesars hot n ready costs, but they charge $9.80 on Uber eats.
But there ARE deals if you do those bogo. We get $15/month from Amex and get a papa John's bogo pizza with it. I am not sure how people justify using it without free money, and certainly not with the delivery fees etc. It's insane.
You can go to Costco and fill a 5-gallon water barrel with lemonade from the soda fountain.

1st time we took our kids, 3 and 5 at the time, to Disney in Orlando, the flights there were a total disaster due to some big storms. We were diverted two separate times, and the delays were for about 8 hours. Lady behind the counter was taking it on the nose and chin by dozens of pissed off people. I just stood off to the side and didn't say anything til the stream of jerks was over.
I gave her a minute to catch her breath and then approached. Told her how sorry I was she was having to deal with all these people treating her so badly when she had literally nothing to do with it. I explained how this was my kids 1st ever airplane ride/trip, and that they'd been so good so far, but they were just exhausted/reaching their limit (3am by this time), and I said I know you don't owe me anything more than anyone else here, but if there's any way you could please get us on the next flight, or anything else she could do for me, it would mean so much to our family. She stood there for about 3 seconds sizing me up and said 'Don't worry honey, I'm going to make sure you are taken care of'. I thanked her profusely. When they started calling names to board the replacement aircraft, we were the 1st ones called.
Be nice to people, especially when others are being an ass. It goes so far to get you better treatment.

Always start off nice with the new person helping you. They are likely not the source of the problem. If one person pisses you off, start nice with the escalation and see where it gets you before popping off on them too.
Be nice until it's time to not be nice.
