It is very rare for polar bears and grizzlies to cross paths, but I watched a documentary that captured one of these encounters at a garbage dump near some facility.

Several polar bears were scavenging food at the dump when the lone grizzly arrived. Although a fight never occurred, the grizzly was so aggressive he was able to drive the polar bears away from the dump until he had his fill and left.

Even though I think polar bears just want a hug, I'll take polar bears for a thousand.

In water, the hippo wins. As mentioned before, hippos are known to kill crocs.

On land, neither one would die during the conflict, but both might leave the fight wounded.

Is there a large rock nearby? Perhaps a log to swing?

If so, then the gorilla wins.

A polar bear is going to win and it's not even really a contest. There is just no way a lion or gorilla could actually kill a polar bear. The size difference is just to extreme.

I ran away from home when I was 10 years old and wound up with the circus. Did a lot of things as part of the circus, but by my late teens, I was billed as the polar bear fighter. Bare knuckles contests (so would be bear be bare knuckles or bear knuckles? Kind of confusing.) To be honest, they can't take a punch worth a ****, guess they are not used to it. Bob and weave, circle and jab, then BAM, right on the nose and they fold up like a two bit suitcase.

A gorilla wouldn't stand a chance. They're mostly good at throwing a scary tantrum designed to avoid a fight in the first place. A hungry bear (like a polar bear or kodiak brown bear) is a stone cold killer that would destroy a gorilla and probably take out a lion with ease.

A leopard was not an option in the OP.

A Polar Bear would destroy just about any other predator. A tiger would put up a fair fight. Lions are the most overrated predator.
