Did not sleep like a dead pharaoh last night. Got up early and went to work early.

Already knocked something off the list.

Kinda hoping my 11:30am meeting gets moved. I've got stuff to do today and that's not a great slot. It's probable that one participant will have a schedule conflict and want to move it. It's been moved once already.

Hydrate. Didn't do enough of that yesterday.

  • Didn't sleep the best. Finally got up at 5:45AM
  • Got an hour of travel work in - several things knocked off the list.
  • Homemade Starbucks dupe coffee
  • Not sure about bf or lunch yet.
  • Meetings meetings meetings.
  • School meeting this evening.
  • More travel work.

-Left work early on Friday, by the time I got home I had 101 fever and was freezing. No fever on Sat then fever back on Sunday. I did those at home tests and tested negative for Flu and Covid.

Is there anything else going around?

Something. But I don't know what. My wife had something a few weeks ago. Son picked up something at work last week.

Lots of people out sick where I work. For some it's seeming like ragweed allergies but for others they have other symptoms.

First song on the radio this morning was Danger Zone, so that is the theme for today.
The sty in my eye is almost gone, so I can take off the pirate eye patch.
Still want an eye patch like Reveille's.
Getting time to decide where I'm going this winter to see the northern lights.

  • Oof I was tired this morning, Irn Bru for breakfast
  • Found out I need to take my truck in for repairs to the power steering and its going to cost me about $2500 double oof.
  • Saw Chappell Roan last Friday and it was honestly a very pleasant experience.
  • Still waiting for the fall cool down. This 80 degree weather isn't it.
  • I want to try a new recipe from my favorite cookbook, Homesick Texan
  • Have fun out there folks!

Mycoplasma is going around right now. Also known as the walking pneumonia. Fever, malaise, sometimes a dry cough, shortness of breath, tachycardia.

- 53 blissful degrees Fahrenheit in western Iowa today!
- It's baloney that I have to go back to Texas tomorrow where the high is still in the upper 80s.
- $450 for a rental car for 4 days! Outrageous.
- Cramming 3 doctors, 1 dentist, 1 med spa, 1 haircut and 1 tattoo removal laser into 2 days, wooo!
- Maybe I should return the car after that and uber the rest of the time.

84 degrees in Central Missouri, and they aren't blissful. We are supposed to cool off tomorrow though. I'm tired of running the A/C.

How is Gus? Does he venture outside when it gets cool? It will be 10 degrees here, and I'll see people's cats outside.

I would. I love winter. I envy Iowa for their semi-persistent snow cover. We get a few good snowfalls every winter, but it's rare to keep snow cover more than a week at a time.

And I still want to know about Gus!!

A friend of a friend was flirting with me. I know she doesn't mean anything by it, but it still made me smile.

Had leftovers for pre-workout and post-workout meal.

Just made pizza dough. Haven't decided if I'm going to go Neapolitan or NY style with it. I have a few hours.

I don't know if Gus is an outside winter cat but I suspect that he is. We'll see!

The last few winters have been mild and we didn't have a continuous blanket of snow that is so pretty to look at. We certainly had the below freezing for several months. There's something more chilling about Midwest winters - the cold seeps into your bones, I don't know how to describe it. 10 degrees feels a lot colder here than in other parts of the country but I don't know why.
