Yeah, definitely wouldn't wanna be WWE having to follow that up tonight.

AEW: "We had a ppv that got a ton of the women involved in a casino battle royale. We also had an awesome women's championship match that really celebrated the great work an up and coming women's wrestler has been doing even though she didn't win the title. We cross-promoted with a major international wrestling promotion. We had a couple of massive new wrestlers show up. A major homecoming for one of the biggest names in the industry. How was your big summer PPV?"


WWE: "We brought back John Cena to lose. We too had an up and coming women's wrestler who has been doing great so we celebrated her by having her be squashed by the top woman, and we capped the night off by bringing back the guy we've used the last 5+ years to neuter the careers of other top stars...letting the rest of our roster know he's back to do it again."

That PPV was solid from start to finish!! Holy S*** what a fun night

Having only 4 PPV per year let's them build up for some big matches to make the ppvs feel special. WWE used to do that but went to the monthly ppv route and it really waters it down.

Also, after watching CM Punk the last few weeks, I'm convinced the Ags need to come out to Cult of Personality for the intro music

It works even better since we could play up the - "A&M is a Cult" - angle and take ownership of it. I think I'll suggest it in next year's annual Power replacement thread... TexAgs' greatest tradition

Wow, that is perfectly stated by Foley. He didn't attack them, he didn't eviscerate them, he just said, "Y'all did an amazing job with me, but if I was coming up today, I'm not sure I'd trust you with my character." That is damning.
