I'm going to strongly recommend not watching this trailer if you want to go into this film fresh.
LFG. I love that trailer. Can't wait for this

I wonder if this stays as a March, 2026 release or if it gets moved to this fall.

Is PHM gonna be in theaters or only releasing on Amazon?

Amazon is going all-in on theaters in a big way, and this is one of their first new efforts in that regard. Fully wide, in IMAX, etc.

Side note, given how prolific IMAX releases have become, what's it going to take to see some new IMAX theaters to come out? It's ridiculous to me that Houston doesn't have one real IMAX theater.

We somehow only have two in LA, but we're finally getting a third next year. Looks like Houston is part of the same expansion...

Well I'm in..... been through 6 seasons and two movies. I won't miss this one although the first without the incomparable Maggie Smith as Violet the Dowager Countess.

Series started in 1912 after the sinking of titanic and now is in the mid 1930s. The changing times is always an integral player in the story.

$23.99 for their "IMAX"; not a fan at all. This is a regular theater that now has a digital IMAX projector and I guess maybe an upgraded sound system? But it's pretty much a regular screen; I've definitely been to lots of non-IMAX theaters that with much larger screen. I won't be going back here for IMAX format personally. Will still to Bullock for anything I really want to see in giant format.

ETA: at the Stonelake location

Good to know, thanks. That is the location I was looking at, Bullock is unfortunately pretty inconvenient for me and has more limited showtimes.

On another thread a local poster said the new Hooky in Hutto is really nice and has an IMAX screen, might be worth checking out.

Bullock is a pain. I really wish they'd go to assigned seating. The whole waiting outside like we're still in the dark ages is a massive pain for sure and the chief reason I only go there for the really big releases (Interstellar, Dune, Dinkirk, etc…).

Yep thats what I hoped for. Definitely more true to the book - out in civilization - but certainly amped up for a modern movie.

It has a little Idiocracy vibe to it for me also which is funny and a little bit of The Truman Show (which could have been much darker I think this will be).

And he's definitely more antagonistic and full of bravado than the book character - but that is also to be expected - looks like it makes for a lot of one liners, etc.

He's been a hot commodity for a few years now. I think this could be huge. I'm here for it.

I know I watched the first one but can recall absolutely nothing about it other than the fact Pratt started in it.

Just FYI, this is a series, not a movie, so I've added it in the TV thread...

It's funny that everyone figured it would be Pratt when he was the hot ticket, and now everyone will think it's Powell since he's the current big thing.

I don't think either one is a fit for the role, and Im a big fan of Powells.

This has also been a recurring topic on this board. They should have treated Indy like they did Bond, and been free with recasting him and just continuing to tell stories the last few decades.
