So i've watched a couple videos, not super in depth, but a little bit of detail about this Paramount-WBD deal.
1. From my understanding, it'll still be a good while before Paramount really takes over any decision making with the entertainment slates. I mean, for God's sake, for now at least they're even allowing the 2nd season renewal of that God awful Star Trek Academy show to proceed.
2. Looking at the intellectual property that Paramount is going to take over, Game of Thrones is near the top. None of that IP near the top is ripe for remaking at this point (especially since they've already started remaking harry potter with the new tv show). My point is that their best option is new spinoff movies and shows of those IPs, like this would be.
