I wear socks of all colors and patterns but the youths are mostly monochromatic clothing and shoe-wise. Walking on HS campuses recently it seemed like every student got issued black pants, and dark gray or black shirt or hoodie and some panda dunks.

All my socks are black but they're no-shows/ankle.

My kids start class tomorrow, and they have a rule about what colors shoes can be (white, black, brown, gray, and Navy blue). In the past, they have given grace on accent colors, but that led to kids abusing the leniency and wearing shoe colors just completely out of dress code. Should I either color the Jumpman with a black fabric marker or just remove the tag entirely?

What's going on with New Balance? All of a sudden my kids want nothing but New Balance and I had to shell out $150 for a pair of 2002Rs for son's school wardrobe. I looked around and all of the kids are wearing them now.

I bought a pair about 8 years ago and my wife and kids made fun of my "Grandpa" shoes and now I see kids wearing the exact same style I had.

The hype around NB has been building for a while but they seem to have eclipsed Nike for high schoolers at the moment. For $150 I would but a pair of the Made in the USA pairs on sale but those 2002s are popular for a reason.

I snagged a pair for myself to wear to my son's football games since they have LSU color scheme. I'm surprised Nike didn't sue them for the design on these 480s.
