That's an interesting thought, re: Jost.

That said, she has Jurassic World Rebirth in early July, and the next trailer is dropping soon, so it's probably more for that.

I posted before your edit, but since it's the last episode of the season, and JPR is one of the biggest movies of the summer - wherein I definitely take your money - it makes sense. Her hosting gig is only six week before the movie comes out.

We're at $100 that JPR doesn't make top 5 domestic.

And adding $100 that ScarJo is at SNL at the finale bc Jost is hanging it up. (She wouldn't do that for JPR 6 weeks out).

(And all that's going to Make-A-Wish foundation, who is the biggest place Disney contributes too, and that will just piss certain idiots off from a certain forum, who pop in with bad takes, even though I vote the same way they do.)

Oh wait I was confused about this being a Jost bet. I thought we were doubling down on the JPR box office bet.

I'll just say this... ScarJo is 100% hosting because of JPR. If she were the first or second May host I would agree it might be little too early/unconventional. But hosting the last of episode of the season, in order to promote her giant summer movie that will be only six weeks away, is totally normal/plausible.

HOWEVER, should could also be hosting to help send her husband off. While I think we would have heard rumblings by now, that's not at all out of the realm of possibility, and I'm not against the idea.

Not taking that bet, sorry. She could totally be there to promote JPR, and mention it in the monologue, but if Jost happens to be departing as well that will 100% get more airtime.

Speaking of, rumors continue to run rampant that next episode will not only be Jost's last, but Che's as well. Neither has been remotely confirmed yet, though, so who knows. Still, there's a possibility it could be the end of an era.

I've told this story before, but prior to Mikey Day getting famous he was my next door neighbor for three years, literally the unit next to ours, in a little twelve-unit apartment complex on the west side of LA.

It's so weird because he was super quiet back then and mostly kept to himself. In fact, he always had big headphones on and wore them so much that our nickname for him was "Headphones" (creative, I know). Point being, the Mikey Day on SNL is not at all the Mikey Day I knew/saw multiple times a week in passing for three years.

Nice guy, though. I hung out with him a couple times, but was better friends with two of his other roommates. His fourth roommate was Taran Killam, which I've mentioned before as well, who ultimately got Mikey a job as a writer on SNL.

We knew they were all struggling actors at the time, and Mikey's only credit was being a regular on that old rap battle show on MTV. We all then moved out around the same time, and I remember just weeks later Taran landing a recurring role on Scrubs, then he and Mikey slowly blowing up from there, which was pretty cool to see.
