This doesn't count as I'm not there but where else am I going to put this-watching Billy Strings Halloween show and the theme is "Meet me at the Crypt".
They came out to Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein" as an 8 piece band. A brotha on 3 keyboards and a moog, a brotha on drums, a guy on backup electric, and Billy on electric and congas.
Halloween shows are so much fun. They are in Baltimore and just played the Blind Boys of Alabama's version of the Wire theme from season 1. Also played Pearl Jam "Alive" for the first time ever.
Billy is dressed as the Wolf Man. I can't believe I still haven't been to a Billyween show yet. Not your average bluegrass bar band this time of year.
PSA: For the love of God for all you music lovers do this random stranger here a favor and go see BIlly Strings in FW or Austin in December. I'll refund you the cost of your ticket if your mind isn't blown.

Had tickets to tonight's Todd Snider band gig in Phoenix, but it was "postponed" late last night, to an unknown future date.
Apparently he injured himself or something on Friday (knowing Todd's history, it might be something worse than an injury, but who knows), and his Saturday show in SLC was also cancelled. The crew there had apparently already been loading in, and ticketholders were queueing up when the cancellation was announced, so that must've been frustrating. At least I got a 24 hour heads up about my postponed show.
What sucks with postponing vs cancelling means I can't get a refund until they eventually announce the rescheduled date, according to Ticketmaster. Hopefully that announcement will happen in the next couple of months (ideally the show would take place that soon as well).
This may be his last tour too, so hopefully we actually do get a rescheduled show.

I was going to try and make the drive up to Denver last Thursday but couldn't make it work. Little bummed that I wasn't able to make it work, although he was pretty out of it last time I saw him a few years ago.

That Denver show might end up being his last performance for a long while. He was already talking about this being his probable last tour.
Interesting setlist too:

The Darkness in playing in Houston on Friday. Does that band register on anyone's radar?

One hit wonder to many.
The lead singer has a YouTube channel that is fun where it dives into other people songs.
