I forgot about that. I've got no issue with Ward wearing #1. Just don't like them showing off the Houston throwbacks. Def odd for Durst to wear at a show in Denver. But odd is what Durst does.

Saw Robert Earl Keen in Corpus last night. Very entertaining show, he told a lot of stories but didn't go overboard with it. Silverada, formerly Mike and the Moonpies, opened.

There were a ton of Aggies there & he mentioned A&M more than once.

Corpus Christi Bay hits different when you are there...

Saw Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, The Avett Brothers and The Mavericks at Cynthia Woods on Sunday. Everyone was outstanding. Absent in the setlists; Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, Knocking on Heavens Door, and What a Crying Shame, but otherwise great sets from all.

Saw William Beckmann at Main Street Crossing last night. What a treat getting to see an artist of his caliber in such a small venue. How this guy isn't bigger, I don't know; he's got it all and as good a voice as there is in country music right now.

Ghost last night in Raleigh… absolutely amazing time. Show was phone free so I don't have pics or videos of my own, but I managed to make it into one of their official Instagram shots, picked up some Mummy Dust and even got interviewed by Vanessa Warwick for Ghoulbangers Ball… we'll see if I make the cut when they post their Raleigh video.

Highly recommend making this show if it's coming near you!

Those Texas dates, at those venues, show Alice Cooper and Judas Priest.

Maybe Maiden is going to be touring with those bands and it hasn't been announced officially.

The Iron Maiden website doesn't have those dates yet.

Maiden, Priest, and Alice Cooper would be a pretty good show, though.

October 25th would be my date. I hope it works out. Happy Birthday to me!

Edit: Upon further investigation, most, if not all, of the Alice Cooper dates and venues align with the Maiden dates and venues.

Anyone else try to grab tix for the REK & Friends benefit at Whitewater? I got a short wheel of death, followed by "change the quantity of tickets you want", to "sold out" in a matter of 30 seconds at exactly noon when they went on sale.

Saw Zach Bryan at MetLife Stadium on Friday. Great show even if the crowd was a bit young. A little bummed that I missed The Boss, who made an appearance Sunday, but you can't win them all.

Has anyone been to a show at the Wildcatter in Katy? From the website it is hard to tell what the venue setup is like. How crowded, indoor vs outdoor (it looks like both). I'm toying with the idea of going to their metal fest this Saturday and wondering if my middle aged self would enjoy the venue or find it hot, crowded, and miserable.

I've been. Saw Steel Panther there in 2021 during the COVID height. Stage is completely outdoors in a field adjacent to the main building. There will be plenty of room to stand around. They'll have beer tubs and liquor stands out there as well. Parking will suck immensely (I Uber'd from downtown Katy).

But if you haven't seen the Iron Maidens yet, go see them. They are absolutely fantastic live. And say hi to my girl Nikki Stringfield

I think the whole festival is gonna run late so it'll be cooler outside by the time they go on stage
