Scottie doing the finger guns and then putting them back in his pocket after rejection was hilarious.

What a fun movie. I had almost no expectations and really enjoyed it.

Only thing I wasn't crazy about was the actual golf holes in the tournament. The original Happy Gilmore was so relatable to golfers, and that was way off the grid to me.

It's also a quibble. I laughed my ass off the whole time.

The fact that Fred Couples, Nick Faldo, and Jack Nicklaus said yes, and all the greatest golfers of today lined up to be in it shows the staying power of the original. Hell, my Grandfather was like 75 when I showed it to him, and he thought it was hysterical.

This was a great use of two hours on a Saturday night.

I hate to be counter culture here but I couldn't disagree more with everyone's take. Wife and I watched it and thought it was really just not good.

Wanted to like it as I loved happy Gilmore but thought the script was lacking all around.

Definitely had some moments I laughed at, but overall felt like a missed opportunity to me.

Maybe that's because I caught the original happy Gilmore on tv about a week or two ago and loved it even after all these years. This one just felt cheap to me. Just my opinion.

Will probably give it a rewatch and see if it settles better now that I know the tone.

Honestly glad you all liked it. Just wasn't great for me.

Scottie and Daly were amazing.

Scottie getting cuffed and taken to jail was the chef's kiss.

This movie far surpassed my expectations. Sandler brought a lot of people together for this one.

I'd go hang out with "Uncle John Daly" anytime.

That was awesome! I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. Shooter was great. Happy's boys were hilarious.

He was pretty good. I was surprised to learn that was a rapper.

I would have bet money that the oldest/jacked kid was Seth Rogen's brother.
Looked exactly like him. To the point that it was distracting. Maybe that's just me though because I hate Seth Rogen.

Apparently both the young girls (Happy's Daughter and the AA undercover) are Sandler's actual daughters. And the ballet coach is his wife.

Expectations were low but this was actually enjoyable. Wife even liked it. I thought all the cameos were good. Bad Bunny and John Daly were great. And from what people say thats exactly how Xander acts in real life.

No tiger sucked but he's the kind of man that wouldn't do this movie.

Eminem and Orlando Hudson and Boban with the best Cameos.

Great fun movie and really enjoyed it.

Very surprised by the early death in the movie but ended up working great for the plot once the movie picked up momentum.

Orlando Hudson? You mean Reggie Bush?

Had to confirm on IMDB that Chubb's (the late Carl Weathers) son was Huell from Breaking Bad. Nice!

The oldest kid is MJF who is a wrestler in AEW.

If I evaluate it critically: the movie moved way too quickly, depended on so many cameos and cut scenes it felt like a Family Guy episode, and really seemed hamstrung by the callbacks to the first movie. The story was so obvious, Happy loses his magic and has to find it again, that I felt like all of that other stuff was purely there to make it long enough to be a feature film and not a series of TikTok videos.

If I evaluate it based on a random watch while I was doing errands around the house: Rory McIlroy should never act again, Bryson DeChambeau should act more, Scottie Scheffler was hilarious, and overall it was an enjoyable watch. Never had the "YOU'RE GONNA DIE CLOWN" guffaws of the last one but plenty of chuckles (Bryson's "those are mine" line had to be one of the best in the movie) (next to the Be Quiet signs people were holding up on the Maxi course saying Shut Up, cracked me up for some reason). The kids attacking the car when it wouldn't start like they would beat up someone at a bar was great too.)

I worry about those who evaluate a movie called Happy Gilmore 2 hyper-critically.

It was a good movie but it wasn't a good movie, if that makes sense.

The wife and I loved it. We both went into it with zero expectations. We laughed the majority of the time. The only non-funny people in the movie were the Gilmore boys. Their immature acts just didn't appeal to the OG Happy Gilmore fans from 30 years ago. That doesn't appeal to us anymore. But overall, we enjoyed it for what it was.

I thought the parallels between the PGA Tour and LIV were great. I honestly think its a must see for all golf fans.

ha! YOU literally just evaluated HG2 hyper-critically yourself.

Other than the 2 Sandler daughters, it was an ok movie to laugh at for a few hours. Sandler is definitely laughing all the way to the bank. He hooked up his kids with roles in a movie he knew everyone could not stay away from despite them being terrible actresses.

I was surprised how much this movie was centered on the current pro golf landscape and some of the inside jokes, if you will. So, I could definitely see why a pro golf fan would not love it to the extent others are loving it.

Wife almost rebelled and turned it off when they killed Julie Bowen in the first few minutes

Love John Dailey being in this movie a ton

Ton of cameos, but they weren't overdone, except Stephen A Smith. Any amount of him is too much

Multiple laugh out loud moments

He's pretty much has guaranteed at least one cameo and one host slot on SNL each year as long as he wants to do it. He's done great on all of his appearances there.

I don't play golf and certainly don't follow professional golf so a lot of it was lost on me. Rory was the only current golfer I recognized. I still really enjoyed it overall
