It's borderline, adults would probably appreciate the humor more, it has cussing, gore, and they talk casually about sex(though it's mostly for comedic dialogue) but beyond references there are no sex scenes.

Honestly if your kid has played any M rated video games like Grand Theft Auto it's no worse than that.

For this movie or series to be good thought it'll probably have to be R just for the cussing and the gore.

Well no sex scenes except for the Carl & Prince Maestro snick

Also speaking of sex dolls (courtesy of Skippy the Magnificent) the Expeditionary Force books by Craig Alanson is another great/funny sci-fi series!

Never tried audio books. Thought I would hate them. Then tried Dungeon Crawler Carl based on this thread. Book 1 had me laughing out loud. Just started book 2. These are amazing!

Matt announces a stand alone book not in the DCC universe available Feb. 10 he wrote at the same time as Inevitable Ruin.

I don't think this bodes well for a release of the next DCC book in the early part of 2026, but who knows, he's picked up the pace on Patreon a little bit with the next installment.

About 10 chapters into book 1 on audibles. Favorite line so far is "your creature crapped in my mom's ashes" Makes me laugh everytime I think of it and hear it in that voice in my head.
