relevant context I guess is the ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD book has a *ton* more Cliff stuff, and the movie could feasibly be any genre without being, necessarily, much like OUATIH. It could be a Cliff war movie, a Cliff crime movie, a movie about a Cliff killer, etc.

The Cliff stuff in the book is fantastic. You would enjoy reading it.
I'd be willing to bet it at least gets a limited theatrical run. There's no way a movie starring Brad Pitt, with Leonardo DiCaprio, goes streaming only. That, and I even watched Fincher's last Netflix movie, The Killer, in theaters (at an Alamo Drafthouse).
It's currently sitting on my shelf. This gives me the motivation to finally knock it out.

I'm trying to imagine what Fincher directing a Tarantino script is going to look and feel like and I can't quite wrap my head around it. Few writers have such a distinctive way of writing dialogue in particular like QT.

I believe I've heard interviews with QT saying he plans on writing more after he is done being a director. Which if that is the case, bring it on! I've always loved his scripts. But OUATIH and Cinema Speculation are great reads!

Seems like Cliff Booths' character is almost a take on the Chuck Norris jokes. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I need to rewatch that movie.

Dammit that is one of the all time best lines from any movie I have ever seen. I got in a bicycle wreck during the pandemic that basically shattered several fingers and road rashed half of my body. Right in front of a Mexican construction crew. I played it off and acted like I wasn't hurt until I could walk my bike about 100 ft to make a turn onto the next street, at which point I proceeded to wince and freak the F our in agony. That was before I had ever seen this movie, but I wasn't about to cry in front of a bunch of Mexican dudes. I get it.
