New Line paying $38 million for Zach Cregger’s script. Jordan Peele firing his management team because they weren’t able to acquire it. A brilliantly ominous, foreboding marketing campaign. Anticipation levels at all-time high for WEAPONS.

This is proof you don’t have to tell the audience every detail about what your movie is to generate buzz. Literally one sentence to explain the premise and a great trailer and everyone is sold on it. STUDIOS TAKE NOTES! https://t.co/waUoxjpz6S

I get the sense from the trailers and marketing this is gonna be some sort of modern take on the Pied Piper folklore, with some supernatural force luring the children away. Looks very well done too.

Most hyped movie of the year for me. That trailer was perfection. It got me freezing still frames.
That kid smiling in the O is chefs kiss
I love how the Jordan Peele firing his team for not acquiring the script has become the biggest marketing buzz of the whole movie
This movie isn't holding back when it shows a kid getting hit by a car

Yeah that's not true, and what's floating around on the net for the flick is trite.
Hopefully it's still fun with the talent involved and heightened stakes with the kids.
