Also, on Instagram, some account recently posted the scene from the trailer of all of the kids leaving their homes in the middle of the night and altered the footage to make it look like grainier black and white nest/street cam and pass it off as a real, inexplicable event that occured in a small town years ago.

It was even creepier completely silent and black and white, but it took me about two seconds to realize it was a fake...although, I was curious where the hell they got the footage from...now I know.

That was part of the official marketing campaign...

Oh hell yes.

I hear you, but the thing I saw was some random account with like 10k followers that posts "supernatural" stuff and was voiced over, he definitely stole the footage of the diff angles of kids leaving their homes from the teaser. Sad thing is there were ppl in the comments who thought it was real.

I get the sense from the trailers and marketing this is gonna be some sort of modern take on the Pied Piper folklore, with some supernatural force luring the children away. Looks very well done too.

It's great seeing Shalla Bal, Thanos, and Wong hanging out


This is both hilarious and terrifying at the same time.

Can you elaborate?

Regardless I know that regardless of it being true or false, it has contributed to the aura of the movie online

Trailer gives me a Sinister (2012) vibe, namely in that kids are ****ing creepy

But also, if they can make me get past the kids doing the Naruto Run I'll say it was a success.

Horror fans are eating good between Together and this movie.

Not sure this is 100 percent worthy but it was a really good movie. I fully appreciated the fact they didn't give away the movie in the previews. Also liked the short appearance by Justin Long. Of course, Brolin was amazing as was Garner. Only thing I didn't care for was the way they told the story. Thumbs way up.

I really enjoyed it. I also actually liked how the story was told from the different perspectives.

My nearly 20 year old, home for the summer from A&M, was supposed to go with me this weekend but went with his friends tonight instead. I acted butthurt but in reality I am glad he went with friends instead of boring dad lol.

I'm at a point where I'll see anything with Brolin. Probably my favorite actor in Hollywood.

I think I will need a second watch of this.

The story is frankly more like connected vignettes that overlap in time and characters. You will see the same scene from different perspectives multiple times in the film. It jumps backwards and forwards and will be jarring to people.

The scare scenes and the gore were pretty well tense and shot beautifully. The cinematographer really knows how to use black space well.

I think the humor in this will be controversial as some might find it undermines the scene. Not really spoilers but vibes. The final scene of this movie in real life would be utterly horrific but is almost shot like a comedy sketch. I think everything resolves itself well and thought the overall story was really really well made. Also the ending ending is really dark as ****

There is a character that you have only seen a flash of in trailers that really reallygoes hard on her scenes. I was not really expecting this type of character.

Alden Eirenreich really surprised me in this film. Like I really enjoyed his acting to the point that I kind of hated him (his character is really deeply flawed). No surprise Brolin gets to do his rendition of Prisoners sort of in this as a man helbent on finding his son. Garner is having quite the moment and she is really growing on me as an actress, she is a dysfunctional mess in this film. A fun cameo shows up


You know how it happens at the end and the name of the movie makes perfect sense. Whether you like that or no it another matter.

For me I had really really high expectations and I think this fell a little short, but damn was this a fun movie. I think as a film, this was superior to Barbarian and even more confident as a filmmaker.

Movie was nuts.

Awesome movie. Zack Cregger is a wild man... a very talented wild man.
