First two episodes dropped yesterday! Can't wait to see how the federation handles the Gorn.

Also Ansolm Mount has been a fantastic Pike as well as the guy playing Spock.
No matter what!

Watched both. The Gorn are a good nemesis, but that episode made me think you dont see them again until the Kirk TOS episode. Well at least not in large numbers, maybe just in Ortegas head. The Trelane episode was good but not great. I had to go back and remember who Korby was. Scotty will be good.

I am also still in love with La'an. But since we know there are 5 seasons and we know that we will see Kirk take over for Pike. I still expect to see La'an sacrifice herself for him.

So is this series worth me starting from Season 1? I've never watched it but I'm pretty interested in the concept and love ST TOS, TNG and all the movies. Is this really good?

Discovery was horrible. Stange New Worlds is what Enterprise should have been. Its very good.

You also might want to watch Lower Decks first. Or at least understand it's concept.

Loved both new episodes, especially episode 2. Definitely solidified a canon theory from both TOS and TNG.

Unrelated, I had to search what happened with Roger Korby in TOS. I hadn't seen the episode in decades. Very bittersweet.

But looking forward to the rest of the season.

As a life-long Star Trek enthusiast, the answer is yes. I also recommend Lower Decks. It really is a love letter to diehard fans. So many easter eggs.

Even though I didn't care for the series much at all, I would also go back and watch the Discovery Season 2, or at least the last few episodes where Pike takes over as temporary captain of the Discovery. You also get some background on Spock, and the last episode does get some mention in SNW.

If the worst thing about this series the the Andrew Schultz haircut Ortegas has it is pretty good.

My mental impression of the Gorn was that they reminded me of the Grendel from Larry Niven's Beowulf series. Lizard like and all teeth and tail and the young are cannibalistic. Then when she got stabbed by the adult's tail it really made me think of them and how nobody ever survived the tail stab. I immediately thought "she done".

Really enjoyed episode 3. The undead/zombies were unexpected. And you can tell they're setting us up for an Ortegas episode soon.

This is almost surely going to get taken down for copyright problems, so catch it while you can. Pretty well done. According to my dogeared copy of the Star Fleet Technical Manual from 1975, there was no starship class like the Cerritos. But it would have looked like this if so. Love the Doomsday Machine cameo!

She is hot. Also Christina Chong looks great as well.seeing her dance In episode 2 was very nice

Kind of disappointed in last night's episode. I see how it ties in with both TOS and the holodecks of future series, but it felt a little like the singing episode. I'm read for some drama and action. Mortal threat, terrible odds, good guys win in the end. I guess it did advance the relationship between Spock and L'aan and wonder if there will be a love triangle coming.

'A Space Adventure Hour' was a very enjoyable hour of Star Trek. Loved the over-acting by Paul Wesley as Kirk in the captain's chair, loved the homage to prior malfunctioning holodeck episodes (The Big Goodbye, Elementary My Dear Data, and Ship In A Bottle), another reference that Spock is a descendent of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Uhura's speech, the attempted Riker maneuver during the blooper reel, and so much more.
