Haven't been to a theater in 6 years. There's literally nothing to miss. The theater "spectacle" is nonsense. What are you going to do, bounce your grandkids on your knee in 30 years and tell them about your amazing lived experience of hearing surround sound and seeing giant battle scenes while other larpers in the crowd cheer? Nobody cares. When SHTF in life, you won't either. But congrats on spending all that money.
Lol, the only thing that's nonsense is your crotchedy ass attitude and moronic exaggeration of why people go to the theater.
In 1993 my father and I went to see Jurassic Park together. Seniors in high school don't typically choose their father to go see the huge summer blockbuster with, but we had both read the book and were excited to see it. Not only was it an awesome movie but it was the last one I was able to see in the theater with my dad before he was diagnosed with leukemia and later died.
In 2019, my 10 year old son and I went to see Endgame together. After literal years of watching the MCU culminate in that movie we shouted along with the rest of the entire theater when Cap caught Mjolnir in the final battle.
There were no larpers in either theater during those experiences, nor were either life-changing. But they were really nice, simple memories that I'll always treasure alongside all of the other memories I have of my father and son, like fishing, camping, learning (and teaching) how to drive, etc.
But you do you, continue to read and post on threads that apparently you're completely uneducated about (since in your own words you haven't been to the theater in years).
