well no I'm not citing it's interest in terms of the votes for or against, for the record, I'm down for a for...if that made sense.

I just thought it was interesting because there's a much greater variety of people giving their take on it. Those that are against it have some pretty viable reasons too. It's just good to get some other takes on it.

Agreed. In reading some of the posts, people just really need more information. As suggested by others, they should go take a look at the Student Bonfire and make their comparisons then.

It was said by Cha-chunka, "The university will never bring it back the way it was before. I am against a new army bonfire. I am sorry for those who never got to experience cut, stack, and push, but those days are over my friends - let it go."

Well, are students not experiencing cut, stack and push now? Because it isn't on campus, yet is built by Aggies and for the same reasons, doesn't mean that it can't be called an Aggie Bonfire.

In my opinion, these Aggies ARE experiencing Aggie Bonfire.

I guess I would liken this to Aggie Bonfire 2.0 if anything.

in all seriousness though, even though it's just a public forum, you'd get grilled for going against it, so people with that opinion I would think are less likely to post.

that's true too, you have to take into account the kind of people who are on TexAgs anyways. I just think around here <ahem> people sometimes get caught up in the notion that everybody is on their side of the fence.

an Aggie would never think this...

as to my opinion of Bonfire, everyone should go out there and work, to experience it for themselves (and I mean the ASB) before passing judgement about what it is. As to brining it back to campus, it belongs on campus, but you can't bring it back at least until all the court cases are over.
