I told my liberal sister and her husband, who live in Austin naturally, way back when the lawfare started that it would backfire on them. I told them if Biden had come out and said "When Trump was in office he came after me, his political opponent, and he was rightly impeached for it. I will not lower myself to his level and therefore I've instructed Garland and the DOJ to stop all prosecutions of Trump because I'm the adult in the room and I can beat him without it."

Of course the above is total BS but if he had said and done that I guarantee his approval rating goes up 5-10 points. Yes, it would piss off the far left but they would vote for Biden no matter what he did.

Also if he kept his approval ratings higher he could have told Trump he wouldn't "lower himself" to debating him and who knows, that old vegetable might still be ****ting his pants in the oval office today, or likely ****ting himself on a beach somewhere on his 27th vacation.
