Everything I've seen the defense did the best they could. I really liked what one of the attorneys here said. They don't have to get you off. They do have to ensure your receive a fair trial.

Two questions...
1) what's better for civil calmness? Sentencing tonight or drag it out until tomorrow?

2) I just presume there's a good number of troopers in the metropoles already that can pour in quickly and I'm guessing there's specialty units there as well. Any TNG units stationed up there that could be quietly on standby?

I don't want anything to happen. I want people to be mature and okay nice. But I'd love to see quick and overpowering force deployed IF people decide it's get stupid time. I don't want to see them pre-deployed though, I view that as provocation to a degree, but ready to absolutely appear from around every corner

Realistically I'll be surprised if he gets more than 20 years. He'll be out of jail before he's 40 while the other family has to suffer for the rest of their lives.

Will the jury be sequestered if sentencing is not decided today, or was that just for the verdict?

Well, need to consider what is "armed"? (No that is not Bicep man joke.)

Fact: Rosenbaum had Kyle cornered between cars and grabbed the barrel of his gun. Rosenbaum was a shorter guy and fell forward as he was grabbing it, twisted and was shot near the back.

Fact: Anthony Huber had a big skateboard and was hitting Kyle in the head, knocking Kyle to the ground, was coming back to hit him in the head again when Kyle fired.

Fact: The only black guy who attacked Kyle that night remains unidentified publicly, known as "Jump Kick Guy" was trying to kick Kyle in the head, again. Kyle fired but missed that guy. (Side note: Prosecution knew who that guy was but refused to grant him immunity, nor allow defense counsel to know who he was.)

Fact: Third guy Kyle shot (bicep guy) was armed with a Glock. Had it out as Kyle was on the ground on his back. Grossweitz admitted on cross (great job Chirafisi) that Kyle never fired until Grossweitz pointed his loaded Glock at Kyle's head. And even then, Kyle shot his arm holding the Glock, not the head nor center mass.

I think it was just mentioned in the instructions. And the jury had to be unanimous in order to apply it. So it was brought up as procedure but won't likely be applied.
