Hope so. I'll take your word for it. But since there will be a virtual blackout on the proceedings, will be difficult to tell.

And you know such a gag order will not be enforced fairly.
Don't like that decision at all. Now, if there are still some witnesses who will be called who are minors, turn the cameras off during their testimony. Other than that? Allow one pool feed from the courtroom and audio for a press room if do not want the press in the gallery.
We have figured out how to do this since the Sam Shepard case decades and decades ago. Frankly, I was dismayed the court even cited that case. Was really reaching with that one.
Been in front of this judge. He isn't going to be intimidated by defense group hoodlums trying to hijack the media. Absent mistakes, I think he'll try to enforce it fairly.

Shame they can't send Karmelo to the chair. That's what his actions earned him.

I'm predicting he'll get sentenced to no more than 20 years. He'll serve 12 or so. Then he will get out and end up a leech on society and a frequent flyer in the jail because he will want an opulent lifestyle that cannot be accomplished legally with his record.

Wonder how much this will be in the media or if it'll just be downplayed by MSM.

You can book it. 20 is the max he's getting. Life in prison is what should happen, but in today's world it won't

The defense will play Anthony up as the victim and Austin up as the actual perp, likely the entire play from the defense was that Austin said a racial slur. This is what the media will run with.
All they need is 1 person on the jury to believe the defense and its a hung jury, or a conviction on some minor charge compared to murder. The defense will do everything it can to ensure the jury had as many blacks on it as possible for this very reason.
Quote:
All they need are one or two blacks on the jury and they'll never get a conviction. If there isn't a black on the jury it'll get thrown out. Or just one dip**** white do-gooder will do the job as well.
I just don't see a conviction out of this.

I can close to guarantee you "beyond a reasonable doubt" a conviction here will never ever be thrown out because there were not black people on the jury.
Obviously, before the evidence is seen no one can say for sure, but I think a conviction is close to certain here.
