Was pretty drunk one night and had it on in the background.

Imagine a whole movie was filmed with the actors being in a Teams call. Thats the movie.

If not for TexAgs, I would have never even heard of this. Did they even promote it? This sounds so dumb.

There's a poster over there that just gushes over anything woke. He praised the movie Sinners like it was Citizen Kane. When it in reality it was just "From Dusk Till Dawn" with black people.

I started the thread over there a few days ago. And to be honest its not so much "woke" as it is just a horrible movie all around. Anything woke in it would barely scratch the surface of just how terrible it is.

The only way that 49 second clip could have been better is if Cube had a pic in his hair, an NWA t-shirt on, and said listen up mother ****** this is a mother ***in' top secret military ****in base, you punkass mother ****er

This has the potential to be an amazing MST3K episode.

Just wait until you see what Amazon does to the James Bond franchise.

I watched this version over and over and over again as a kid enthralled.


I owned the tape cassette recording of Orson Welles 1938 broadcast, which I frequently listened to with as much interest as any movie. My father who grew up an hour away from Grovers Mill would further recall to my attentive ears the response of people who believed the invasion was real.


The Watermill Classic edition was the first adult book I owned having bought it at a book fair in 1st or 2nd grade.


I wouldn't actually read it until I was in high school.


So, when I watched Spielberg's version and this scene

It was a long time coming and I was a kid in a candy story, smiling ear to ear.

And it remains one of my favorite movies despite the criticism.

I remember when the Tom Cruise version came out, went to watch on Friday night about 9pm. Some poor idiot had his 5 yo son (approximate) at the late show. When we walked out that night, heat lightening was filling the sky. That kid started screaming, they're her Daddy, they're here. Crying like someone who thought he was going do die. I laughed.
