Help make Tanya's last post POTD

It doesn't work that way. The top post for that day has already earned POTD. Unless staff bends the rules, it will just be a lot of blue stars for her post but no POTD.
Elections are when people find out what politicians stand for, and politicians find out what people will fall for.

Well, I'm okay with it. They did bend the rules.

Currently all top 3 POTD are about her. A good tribute.

So, what happens to the poster who got the designation POTD for that day? Is it removed?
I've come in several times a close second to the POTD, only to receive more blue stars the next day, passing the total of the recipient. It didn't matter. That poster got POTD locked in. This move for Tanya is unprecedented but I'm not complaining. She deserves it. I've just never seen it done before like this.

POTD is just that. The post of the day. Today, her post has received the most likes, again TODAYT, and it looks like it won't be passed. So, assuming it won't be past, her post will win today's POTD. Again TODAY.
And, if tomorrow, she receives the most likes TOMORROW ONLY, her post will win it again tomorrow.
it's not the total number of likes over time. The POTD starts counting likes TODAY and ends TODAY. Has nothing to do with when the post was made. POTD is just the post that gets the most likes that particular day.
At least that's my understanding.

Thanks everyone for making it happen.
When I posted in the other thread asking people to star it, there were 29 stars. Now it is 800+ to get the POTD on the day she passed.

If a post is made at 10:30 PM and gets a few stars before midnight and then is shown on the POTD "leaderboard" the next day, the star count shown on the leaderboard will be different from what is shown on the actual thread. The count begins and ends at midnight central time.
A 10 year old post can get POTD if, for whatever reason, people start awarding it stars. It will not impact the POTD of the post from 10 years ago.
I feel like I'm out of the loop here. Did she pass?

can't think of a better tribute than TexAGs experts arguing over how POTD works
