As someone with a SECRET/SAR clearance, I am amazed when I read these indictments.

EVERYONE getting any type of clearance goes through briefings on how to handle classified info, derivative classifications (which sounds like Bolton's issue) and ALL the penalties you can incur by violating the rules. And the rules are NOT that hard to follow.

Do these people just sit back during these briefings and think "f it I'm above this"?

Bolton worked in the Reagan WH. People with so many years in the bureaucracy begin to think it's their government and they can do whatever they want. Countless examples of that have tried to take down Trump.

His wife and daughter are who he sent the emails to.

This should first have been punished with Hillary Clinton and her home-brew bathroom server.

In the era when document classification and access became standardized, those with clearances would often take classified documents to their home with them for further review.

I would easily trust those guys with classified information more than I would the security state as it has existed since Clinton.

Bolton is an example of the problem. So too is Super Patriot.

Unless you hold them to account, the problem will continue whenever a POTUS does something these self-appointed Guardians of the New World Order don't like.

Correct. Our entire system- including the judiciary- is so irredeemably corrupt that it's pointless to even care about this. I am continually shocked about how often people around here think that something is going to happen to these people.
