According to the internet, New York pro-rates taxes like most everyone else, so if he did he's an idiot. I would tell them to pound sand and then sue them if they harassed me over it.

Well, it's illegal as hell and he should have sued the **** out of them. I don't think we have all of the information on this one.

It wouldn't surprise me if NYC tried to do that, but a competent lawyer would have a field day with this if it's as black and white as we think here.

At least it is cold and not hot weather. There was a sanitation strike when we lived up north in the 70s...in the summer. Plus since garbage disposals are illegal in NYC, lots of food scraps.

Yeah, I recall last week on the TV the Coast guard had to bring an ice breaker into the Hudson to try and get things opened back up. It got cold for a weekend in Houston. North Texas kept snow/ice on the ground for a week. The NE got absolutely hammered by that storm.

Not terribly surprised the trash starts piling up in the City. It's weird, but that is how they handle trash in NYC. It gets put on the street for pickup.

Not really a Commie bashing point due to the weather, but I have no doubt he'll figure a way to muck it up when it thaws!

That storm now was 2 weeks ago!

As mayor—during storms—New Yorkers knew the streets would be plowed, trash would be picked up, and the vulnerable would be protected.

We cleaned up snow so fast people complained they didn’t even get a day off work!

Compare that to now, 10 days after a storm...

NYC does have recall provisions, correct? Wasn't Eric Adams facing one at some point.

I think NYC is too far gone for that work. Too many communists there now. Gavin had a recall and deserved to be booted, and he survived that pretty handily.
