I have been in oil & gas sales for the past 18 years, but with a recent job loss I am looking into transitioning into other industries. Someone recommended that I look into selling insurance. Would anyone be able to talk me through steps I would need to take to make this happen as well as realistic expectations for income trajectory?

My initial thoughts would be to work under someone while I study to get my licenses and build my book of business. Is this even possible?
