Hey all, I am leaving a major Houston/London-based energy company that starts with a B and ends with a P in August. My entire team was outsourced to India so there are no survivors... That's ok, it's a business decision and I am looking forward to a fresh new start elsewhere.

Background:

Graduated in 2009 - Bachelors of Business Administration - Management Information Systems; 16 years professional experience; Six Sigma Green Belt

I served 8 years as an Army aviation officer (pilot and leader).

I left the military after my commitment and immediately started working onshore oil and gas as a Team Lead (direct leadership over 11 people) in our East Texas gas field over Maintenance, Construction, I&E, Communications, Integrity Management, and Line Locating. I was responsible for 850 green and brownfield wells and 20+ central distribution facilities. It was a great experience and I loved every second of it.

Because I seemed to be digitally adaptive and had a degree from A&M in Management Information Systems, management saw fit to move me to Houston to help start-up a new team. I served as a Project Manager for operations/digital projects for 4.5 years in this role and learned a ton about indirect leadership and how digital products are created. The team I was on had engineers and developers, in which we would build digital products for the entire operations organization.

To expand my horizons, I applied for a new role in Transformation/Strategy working as the equivalent of a Program Manager and received a nice promotion in the process. My focus here has been strategic transformation initiatives and portfolio-level strategy for production and operations (a global organization, so I work with many time zones). This role has reinforced indirect leadership, building a consensus, creating long term plans, and working with executive leadership. I've been in this role since September 2023, and this is where my road has come to an end due to job outsourcing.

Request:

I'm happy to share my resume with anyone. I am looking for a role in digital, project, or program management, but am more than happy to rely on my Operations background. I am happy to leave oil and gas, and learn about a new industry. My top qualities are direct/indirect leadership, organization, planning, communication, and thoughtful execution. No task is too challenging, and I thrive in ambiguity and uncertainty.

Sorry, not looking for any direct sales roles.

Location:

I currently live in Katy/Fulshear area (Houston),but am happy to move for the right opportunity.

AG
Bell Helicopter is hiring for a lot of roles to support FLRAA/MV-75, if you're open to relocation. Most roles would be in DFW, Amarillo, or Wichita, KS.

I don't have any direct openings in my team currently; you'd have to check online for anything that interests you.

Thanks, funny you mention that actually. I flew the OH-58D in the Army, so have always kept my eye on Bell. I applied and was offered for a role on the FLRAA project back in 2021 and the offer was fair, but unfortunately it was a little bit less than I was willing to take to move my family from Houston to Fort Worth, especially since we had moved so much leading up to then.

I've actually reached out to one of my contacts there (she's an Ag and in a similar role) and applied for this role:

FLRAA Build Support Project Manager (332965)

If you could email me, I'd love to hear what you are seeing on your end. My email is listed in the original post. Please reach out when you get a chance!!
