What are y'all's recommendations for post apocalyptic games? Zombie survival games can be included as well. That genre always intrigues me.

Well you could probably consider Expedition 33 post apocalyptic. Its a good game if you haven't tried it yet and are itching for an RPG.

I'm still playing 7 Days to Die. It's fun doing co-op. Version 2.0 is about to come out too.

I'm not too far into Cyberpunk 2077 but what a great looking game and the city feels more alive than any game I've ever played. People everywhere.

If you want to play the ultimate Zombie survival/simulator game, then check out Project Zomboid for PC. It's hardcore and has the most involved dev team I've ever seen for a game. Pretty incredible if you love the zombie genre. Only reason I haven't gotten into it quite yet (although I own it) is because it's challenging as hell.

You can disregard the Early Access moniker on it. It's been out for years and very developed. Only reason I think it's even still listed as such is because it's so open ended with what they are doing it with it.

I'm just about done with Secret of Mana via emulation on my Steam Deck... had it as a kid but I never beat it so I wanted to complete it 30+ years later.

I dunno, this game was way overrated if you ask me. The story is very weak/weird for an old school Squaresoft game and the user interface is pretty awful. The combat is supposed to be fast paced but the charge meter makes it incredibly slow.

The graphics/art and music are awesome... really brought me back... but the nostalgia factor was about the only reason I had fun with this game.

I'm one of those weirdos who prefers Secret of Evermore to Secret of Mana. I really like Secret of Mana and think it's a great game, but I'm with you in that I also think it's overrated and has more issues than people care to admit. Secret of Evermore is my favorite game on the SNES, I I feel like it's such an underrated gem.

I've got that one as well. Might have to give it a try. Thought it looked really good but was questioning it after my time with Mana.

One thing I forgot to add about Secret of Mana... The multiplayer option was a big draw back in the day. I remember playing it with a buddy and we were blown away at being able to play an RPG coop. But playing it solo today is rough. Especially when your buddies are constantly getting stuck on bushes.

Mass Effect 2 LE. It's the first time I've played any of the series on PC and it's way more fun thanks to mods! Easy resource mining and Fem Shep finally gets to hook up with Miranda.

Has anyone played Teardown? It's basically an adult Minecraft where you destroy instead of build and it looks pretty cool. It has the highest rating you can get on Steam. It also has a campaign now. I kind of avoided it but now that it has some content and is not just a completely open sandbox I'm intrigued.

I remember the waves that ran through reddit subs and neckbeards quivering nonstop when those mods first popped up. Pretty sure the productivity of the populace underwent a measurable downward trend.

Been meaning to play through the series again. I played them as they came out (with no DLCs) and then got the full trilogy on Steam when that released. Which of course I have yet to even download...

The whole thing is new to me since I played the original series on the 360 and LE is normally kind of spendy and I'm busy with my kids so much of the time, but I found it on sale for $5 late last year and have only had the time just now to really get into 2.

Gotta hand it to them, they had a lot of fun helping put together a character that looks like me. It's a shame long hair mods are complicated to make work right so we just had to make do with what the game came with.

How do you get a 5090 in a laptop?

I just upgraded my rig right before the 5090 came out with a 4090. It's a beautiful game.
