Earth Defense Force games are just stupid mindless fun after the kids go to bed. Too tired for an epic story/fight/quest. Just fire up the Steam Deck, blow up giant bugs/robots/aliens for 15-30 minutes, go to bed.

Just beat ME2 yesterday and I'm not sure which mod it was, but I'm really glad I did that while the kids weren't here because it's like full frontal before the suicide mission! Let me just take a sec and throw on the ceiling fan real quick...Eliminatus said:I remember the waves that ran through reddit subs and neckbeards quivering nonstop when those mods first popped up. Pretty sure the productivity of the populace underwent a measurable downward trend. The Fife said:
Mass Effect 2 LE. It's the first time I've played any of the series on PC and it's way more fun thanks to mods! Easy resource mining and Fem Shep finally gets to hook up with Miranda.
Been meaning to play through the series again. I played them as they came out (with no DLCs) and then got the full trilogy on Steam when that released. Which of course I have yet to even download...

Picked up Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon last night. Fantasy open world RPG in the vein of Skyrim. Obviously just started (~two hours in), but it's got style to spare. There's definitely jank, but I'm digging it thus far and it seems to have gotten some pretty good reviews.
I used to play the heck out of those games 20 years ago. I didn't realize they kept making them.heddleston said:

Ooooo thanks!WGann3 said:
$4 would be their first Tainted Grail game that's a deck builder that came out a few years back. You want the $45 newer one for the Oblivion style experience. Glad to see this latest entry is being received well, I've had it on my wishlist for what seems like forever.

For $4, why not!
It's still Balatro. Always Balatro.boy09 said:
I have unfortunately fallen down the Balatro rabbit hole..
I would recommend putting the originals on your Steam wish list to pickup on sale, just in case your CD is ever lost or scratched beyond use. I think I got the Fallout Classic Collection on Steam during a 90% sale for summer or winter. That collection includes 1, 2, and Tactics. I think I bought the entire collection for around $3 or less, during the Steam sale. The Fife said:
When I'm playing older stuff in the den on it I'll lose track of time. I'll just kind of forget all the BS that'd going on now and it's like I'm 25 again.
Also because I already own copies on CD.
Yeah, I recall back then it was massive POS upon release, so I wrote it off until now.Lathspell said:
Nice! Cyberpunk is a top 10 game, for me. It would be hilarious for those who never played during the initial release were to try the original 1.0 build for the game. It would blow their minds.
