Yes, he extended his sale.

I picked up a Lumapower Trust 2 in the beginning of December, and this is my newest every day carry.

The Eagletac P20C2 MK II is just a tiny bit brighter - but just barely. I like the interface on the Trust 2, and the clip on it is one of the sturdiest clips I have seen on a small light.

In the past, I always carried lights loose in my pocket, and just had a small lanyard attached to it. This is the first one I've kept the clip on. Great little light.

Here is a pic:

MisterShipWreck,

Thanks for your insight on EagleTac. Just received the T20C2MII that was on sale for $72. It flat smokes my old Scorpion.

Question: In your experience with high powered and high dollar lights, have you run across anything in a light, filter, or lense that is known to highlight blood (i.e. blood trail via bowhunting)? My red/green color blindness makes it tough to follow blood trails day or night.

Everything I've seen provides mixed reviews on blood tracking lights suggesting that lithium highpowered flashlights are as effective as anything out there.

Appreciate your comments.

I have been told that blue is what you want to use to highlight blood. I also remember reading various blue LED lights being marketed for that.

I cannot remember 100%, but I'm pretty positive that Todd at Illumination Gear can sell you a blue LED module for your new Eagletac. They sell them for some of the eagletac models. I THINK the T20C2 MK II is one of them - but you would have to check.

Quickly scanned and didn't see this thread linked on the FAQ thread.... so I threw it on there.

Good info here.

Just so happens that illuminationgear.com included three complimentary filters in RGB with my recent purchase. I'll give the blue one a try.

That's cool. I think he also sells colored LEDs besides lenses - but give the lens a try if ya got it.

Any thoughts on JetBeam lights?

I own a Jet-III-M it runs about $80 and I have been very impressed by it, a few friends have some pricey surefire and some other nicer lights about the same size and price and mine seems to put out more light.

I ALMOST bought a Jetbeam for my 1st light, but got the Eagletac P20C2 MK II.

Since most of these lights are sold online, it is hard to actually handle them in person. When I went to the last gun show in the George Brown Convention Center, though, there was a flashlight vendor. I finally got to handle some Jetbeams.

They are nice lights - I just personally prefer the feel of the Eagletacs. Nothing wrong with the Jetbeam - but just personal preference is all. That vendor also had some iTP lights, and a few Novatacs. Fun to play with them all.

Damn FAQ threads. I just spent $300+ on flashlights. Got to stay off of candlepowerforums for a while.

Old thread

Oh, FYI guys...

25% off sale on ANY Fenix going on this weekend...

I had been wanting the 2200 lumen Fenix TK70 for a while. I found a place that sells the light, charger and rechargable batteries for $262 instead of the $280+ that everyone else charges...

I had a 10% off coupon I was gonn use at Fenix outfitters.

Well, I got a 25% coupon code emailed to me yesterday!

The code is: weekend25

It is ONLY good this weekend!

It will take 25% off of ANY Fenix order. But, with 25% off, I got my TK70, light and charger all for $197 shipped!!!!!

Here is the link if interested:

http://www.fenixoutfitters.com/fenix-tk70-led-flashlight-pkg.-battery-deal--usa-shipments-only--in-stock-358

And, you can use the code on ANY Fenix item, in case ya wanna buy something cheaper.

Just an FYI!

Now, I ALWAYS order from Illumination Gear. That's my goto flashlight dealer. And, he and I talked about him maybe getting one of these in stock for me. But, at a $20 lower price than most other places, and THEN 25% off. I could not resist.

It would cost me $280 anywhere else on sites I previously looked at! Can't wait to get it!

Congrats, thats a great deal on the TK70. I have an Eagletac T20C2 MkII right now. I ordered a Fenix TK35 and a JetBeam BC 40 yesterday so I'm looking forward to comparing them this week sometime.

I got my Fenix Tk70 in today. It is awesome. Uses 4 rechargable D batteries. So, it is a big light. The length of a 4 D maglight plus some... Because of the larger head.

20 Lumens - 168h
300 Lumens - 15h
930 Lumens - 4hr 30 min
2200 Lumens - 1hr 50 min

When I compare it to my M2 Eagletac - it is amazing. My M2 was $150 over a year ago. The 930 lumen setting is close to what My M2XC4 puts out (800+ lumens). The Turbo setting is just wild.

I had been wanting an SR90 for the longest time, but didn't wanna spend $400-$450. The light is normally $232 or so. A kit with a nice charger and 4 rechargable Ds usually makes the price $262. There was a 25% sale last weekend at Fenix Outfitters. I couldn't pass it up...

$197 TOTAL with the light AND the charger and 4 batteries. This was my first purchase from them, as I have always bought from Illumination Gear. But, with the 25% off, no one could touch that deal (I still plan to buy from Illumination gear on items he stocks in the future - he has been super helpful)...

This is my 1st Fenix light. It is VERY well made. I like the texturing and finish on the light. Really amazing...

It also came with a paracord lanyard and a longer, 2 clip shoulder strap. Don't need the shoulder strap. But the lanyard is nice. Keep it on your wrist so ya don't drop the light...

This is a cool animated GIF. I think I like the TK70 over the SR90 actually...

Ptery83
How long do you want to ignore this user?
No doubt the TK70 is brighter than the SR90 in that GIF....that may be my next purchase.
MisterShipWreck
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yes. I did some more reading on candlepower forum. SOme say the Sr90 has more reach - some say the TK70 does. But, all agree that the SR90 is more focused. There is not nearly as much spill on the SR90 as the TK70 has. The flood is much greater, yet it appears to throw as far as the SR90.

I am going to take the plunge an get a T20 C2 MII from illumination gear to be my carry around flashlight.
I chose this about 1 yr ago based on this thread.

Two questions:
1) is there another light I should consider if I'm looking for : small-ish, many light settings, 700+lumen-max?
2) any suggestions for good (cheaper) light for the car glove boxes & garage that won't break the bank? (T20 has wife thinking I'm crazy...haven't even told her about the ones you guys have)

Thanks in advance.

The T20C2 MK II with the XML-HO module is the brightest LED in this size class. Don't be tempted by any cheap brand of light of the same size with a listed lumen # that's higher. Many companies lie about the lumen output.

Anything that is legitimately brighter will take more batteries and typically a larger size.

As for something cheaper... I keep a solarforce light in my car. They are pretty cheap...

Here is one for $28.99 - it has 3 modes:
http://www.solarforce-sales.com/product_detail.php?t=LF&s=31&id=117

And a single mode for $29.99:
http://www.solarforce-sales.com/product_detail.php?t=LF&s=31&id=120

The solarforce lights come from Hong Kong. They will take about 2 weeks to arrive. I have ordered from them probably 10 times total and never had a problem, however. They are fantastic Surefire clones.... IMHO, they are equal to Surefire in build quality.

I missed your post about the TK-70 - Got myself one as well back in August and I love it. I always want to pull it out and light up my backyard, but I think that would get me in trouble.

Mister & Robert - Have you ever tried a Zebralight? I have a new love in my SC600. Best $90 I have ever spent for a flashlight. Bought it instead of the Eagletac 3xml, and do not regret it at all.

Zebralight SC600 - Best light I own

Not that it compares to many of the other lights in this thread, but I was given a Streamlight ProTac 2L for Christmas and I've pretty much been carrying it with me everywhere I go. 180 lumens from such a small light is pretty good to me, plus is has a strobe and low level setting.

Right here: http://www.illuminationgear.com/14322/26950.html

Scroll down towards the bottom.
P20C2 MKII XM-L T6 HO 720 Lumen Module is $27.99. And, once you get to the checkout cart, choose the T6 version to get the cool version...

I bought this module a few months back. Nice that you can upgrade without an entirely new light purchase having to be made...

No, never tried it. I have a couple of Inovas (previously owned more, but sold some), many Solarforces and many Eagletacs. The Fenix TK70 is my first Fenix. And, I have one Lumapower. I've never tried Zebralight.

That's cool. It's a nice light. If you don't become a lumen hog like I have, you'll be happy with it. I do carry a light with me everyday, but I always keep them on Turbo (except for my nightstand light that I use in the middle of the night and do not want to blind myself). So, I want in excess of 500 lumens out the front
