Had some tiny rain chances yesterday and it looked like it might around 8 or 9. Checked the local news radar and there was a little bit pretty far north and moving south, but I figured it would peter out long before it got near us or pass us by to the east. Woke up around 3-3:30 when our 3yo came in and crawled into bed with us. I could hear thunder and rain pouring outside. I checked the radar on my phone and what I assumed would peter out or pass by had strengthened quite a lot and gave us a pretty solid downpour. Don't know how much, but it rained really well for about 45 minutes to an hour.

Brownwood area got hammered last night. 2+" and lots of wind damage. Looks like my memorial day weekend might be spent behind the chainsaw helping my parents clean up.

Starting to come down pretty good in Bulverde. Coworker that lives in Canyon Lake says they are getting hammered. Hope it dumbs 4-5 inches on Canyon Lake.

Absolutely pouring just south of Bergheim and quite the light show.

Had thunder so loud earlier it rattled the hose and set off car alarms. Started getting a decent pour about 10-15 minutes ago.

Also, having a little tricky deciding what this looks like...

Thats a real nice rain and should keep things green for a bit longer.

Lakes and ground water could use more, but this was nice for the plants.

Got maybe 3" on the west side of SA last night. Might've dodged a bullet as I saw a bunch of posts on Ring and Nextdoor about lemon to softball sized hail in the neighborhoods around me. Luckily no broken windows and just a couple of minor dings on the cars.

I had 1.1" Monday afternoon and another 1.9" last night in Bulverde. This 3" at least got rid of the huge cracks I had in my yard.

My brother text me that we had 4" up in San Saba County last Friday. Finally got all the stock tanks filled. The largest still lacks 1-2 feet to run around.

Yep. Big hail went right down 183 from Cedar Park to central Austin. Reported up to golf ball size. It's going to be a mess tomorrow.

Somehow the drought chart is giving my area the finger. I guess that comes with the territory. Hope we can get some rain next week.

Hub City got beaten up last night. Couple of tornadoes west of town, but mostly 80 mph plus winds and hail. In my neighborhood we had mostly golf ball, but some were closer to tennis ball sized hail. All windows on north side of my house were blown out and we had water coming in. USAA contacted us late last night. Round two, this afternoon and evening.
