Now opening a 4th floodgate on Lake Buchanan.
There are 37 total floodgates in the dam, just fyi since I was curious.
Floodgate operations from Lake Buchanan today. LCRA opened a total of four floodgates at Buchanan Dam on July 14 – the first floodgate operations there since May 2019. This coordinated response helps manage significant water inflows across the Highland Lakes system. pic.twitter.com/QPTA7QDWfP

are there really any dry creek beds in that area? I could understand they're being one 50 to 100 miles away but there's been so much rain already?oklaunion said:
I wonder if they fly a drone down the dry creek bed first to see if there are any explorers.

Mrs Toddy and I flew into Austin yesterday for a visit with family. I don't ever recall seeing so many green pastures in July.

It's like the garden of Eden around Conan right now. Flowers and plants growing in front of all the cameras. Water still in all the dry creeks and pasture looks really good. Heck, even rained more today out there!
