Anything over 4" in a short period usually means washouts around Concan. Not major roads like 127 or 83 but some of the county stuff and for sure ranch roads. I'll take 3.99"

Yeah, could have probably drawn a circle around Pleasanton also.
Today, unfortunately, many Americans have good reason to fear that they will be victimized if they are unable to protect themselves. And today, no less than in 1791, the Second Amendment guarantees their right to do so. - Justice Samuel Alito 2022

Anything west of San Antonio and in the Nueces River Water Shed will make the politicians in Corpus Christi sleep better - they have been worried about the Lake Corpus Christi and Choke Canyon water levels - not out of the woods but they are probably having coffee w a smile this morning.

Devine area had about 9" the past few weeks and the San Miguel actually ran a little water. Hasn't affected the overall lake level but here is the 99 boat ramp yesterday……water was about 40' from the dock before hand.

TEXAS SEVERE STORM OUTLOOK FOR SUNDAY

Severe thunderstorms are expected to develop Sunday afternoon and continue Sunday night as a cold front moves south through Texas.

This is not looking like a major tornado setup for most of Texas, but it is a setup that can produce very large hail and damaging straight-line winds.

Highest risk zone: West-Central, Central, and North Texas including parts of the Big Country, Concho Valley, Hill Country, I-20 corridor, DFW Metroplex, Waco/Killeen, and nearby areas.

Main threats:
Large to very large hail, possibly larger than 2 inches
Damaging winds of 70+ MPH possible, locally higher
Heavy rain and localized flooding where storms train
Tornado risk is low, but not zero, especially where storms stay more isolated or interact with boundaries

Estimated timing:
West-Central Texas / Big Country / Concho Valley: Sunday afternoon into evening
North Texas / DFW / Waco / Killeen: Sunday afternoon through evening
Hill Country / Austin / San Antonio: mainly Sunday evening into Sunday night
East Texas / Southeast Texas: Sunday evening into overnight
South Texas / RGV: late Sunday night into pre-dawn Monday, with a lower severe risk

Do not focus only on the color over your house. Storms can be severe outside the highest risk zone, and the exact placement/timing will depend on where morning storms and outflow boundaries end up.

Practical prep before storms arrive:
Move vehicles under cover if you can
Secure patio furniture, trash cans, trampolines, and loose outdoor items
Charge phones and have multiple ways to receive warnings
Avoid being on the road when storms arrive especially Sunday evening/night
Have a plan to get inside quickly if warnings are issued

We got smoked about 2:30 this morning in Spring. Heavy rain, high wind, transformer boom and power outage. My neighbor's fence was taken out.
