I've had near 8" of rain in May in Junction. Grass is thick and Bobwhite Quail are calling like I've never heard here. I even had a pair in my front yard and that's in the city limits.

I don't know what our total was for May near Concan but it's the greenest I can remember it being in the past 20 years or so. Really excited for the fawns that will be dropping soon! They will have plenty of grass to stay hidden.

Drive to Leakey today. It really is the greenest I have seen it. Grass where it's normally bare dirt and rock. Sitting on the Frio listening to the rapids and frogs and watching lightening bugs tonight.

I didn't want to come back last weekend and can't wait to go back in a few weeks. The Frio looked good and imagine floating is a viable option this year!
