Hi all,
I'm a 20 year old female university student from Georgia. I have zero ties to Texas whatsoever, but I've been staying up to date on the flooding especially at Camp Mystic. I've been perusing Reddit and TexAgs for updates on every missing girl. Having that sort of outsider's perspective has ultimately brought me closer to God. In fact, I just bought my first Bible in a decade.
I just wanted to let y'all know that people are watching and supporting from near and far. While I personally don't know many Christians anymore in my very diverse community near Atlanta, those I do know have been impacted and called upon to educate, donate, and serve the Lord in many ways. Many Southern Christians over here have fond memories of sleepaway camps in the North Georgia mountains and the magic and overwhelming joy that awaited them every year.
I feel compelled to help out in the future of these summer camps and would love to be a camp counselor regardless of my fears. Who knows what God's plan is for the Texas Hill Country? Nevertheless, y'all deserve so much love and support in the rebuilding and healing process and you will receive it from the most unexpected of places and people, trust me. We are praying and taking as much action as we can.
God Bless.
