Hazel was in Wiggle Inn. I can confirm all the kids and both counselors from that cabin are alive and well. One of the counselors had to be rescued off the roof after holding onto it for hours but she is ok per my daughter.

One day when the time is right and it's appropriate I would love to see you post your daughter's story. Just to give a little color around what happened at the camp at 3:00am.

It must have been terrifying for everyone.


I was at Rio Vista in 87 when those campers downstream died. That was scary but we had a 500 foot mountain to our backs to get higher up. Never feared for my life and not beginning to compare my experience to anything that happened at Mystic. We were just fine the entire time. But I have seen the water rise like that and can only imagine what it was like in the dark.

Anyway if you ever want to share it would be interesting to hear it.

Just checked my cams and all is well. Word is they lowered 12" to be prepared to absorb any over flow from Buchanan… but that lake is extremely low.. so should be find

Buchanan is not the issue for LBJ flooding. It's the floodwaters from the Llano river that has a straight shot into the lake
