I have a coil with a leak. Not bad and Im hoping to get it fixed. Used to have a guy that was great. Pretty sure he could fix anything. He retired and now it seems all the companies want to do is sell you a new system. Anybody have a good repair guy?

Caleb is the best I have found in town. Someone on Texags recommended him and said that I would thank him later. He/she was right. If I could find them I would do just that. I've worked with several over the 30+ years I've been here. Hands down the best.

I second this recommendation. Steven does an amazing job, communicates really well so you understand what is going on and tries to save you money with practical solutions. You won't regret working with this guy.

We appreciate the kind words. We always try to offer what makes the most financial sense based on the data presented. Unfortunately some times that means an entire new system, a lot of times it doesn't. We just had a texags customer last week that had been without air for 10 days and called us for a quote. My outstanding technician who was there to simply provide a quote asked if he could see what was wrong with the unit. A few minutes and one hard start capacitor later the unit was cooling again. His unit may be on the way out but a simple act by my technician bought this customer a little more time. It's a great feeling seeing my employees care about customers as much as I do. We are humbled by the amount of referrals we get from our current customers and we look forward to meeting new ones.

You've probably already picked someone, but for others looking for an AC professional I'll put in a good word for Lone Star Solutions of CenTex.

Found them through a friend. They worked with me on finding the right solution when I needed a new unit. Very professional the whole time, highly recommend.

I have had quite the opposite experience with truservice. I made an appointment to get an estimate for an insurance claim. The tech showed up late and said that his boss would probably want to look at it. I expressed that I was in a bit of a rush just for a number for the insurance adjuster. That was two days ago and I haven't heard anything. I understand being busy, but I wish they would have at least let me know that they don't have time so I can get someone else. I suppose I'll give totalcomfort a shot.

This one is 100% on me, Caleb, the owner, not my technician. My technician was not completely comfortable with the situation and asked me to go take a second look at the job site. Unfortunately, I have been fighting a nasty cold the past week and a half and the day he was out there was right when I was the worst. I did not realize it was such a time sensitive issue and we should have communicated better. I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. We will do better.

Based on the images he provided me it looks like you need a few ducts reinsulated and maybe a run of flex duct replaced. It's hard to tell on the images how crammed together those ducts are and that's part of why he wanted me to see it as to estimate it correctly. In hindsight had I realized it was such a sensitive timeline I would have provided you a ballpark without seeing it firsthand that would have given us a little margin to work with.

I wish we had done a better job and I'm sorry that I let you down. I'd be happy to help you out if you're willing, just let me know.

Thanks for the recommendation! I called Steven Friday, he came out at 9 this morning, and I already have an estimate. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a/c work.

Truservice never responded to me either…said the request logged via their website went straight to junk email. Acted like it was my fault for using their website to submit a request for service, and could care less about me and my problem.

My dad is a retired but retained his HVAC license. He's primarily does small jobs for rental properties, but is more than capable of replacing units.

I am sorry that your experience today did not meet your expectations. It is 100% factual that your email went to our junk email folder. I do not have a clue as to why our system will sometimes send contact forms to our junk but I can assure you that we check the junk folder every single work day.

Today was the busiest Monday that we have had this year and my office manager had not yet had time to check the junk email folder by the time you called at 8:55AM, we open at 8:00AM. It was pretty clear that you were already agitated when you called that we had not reached out to you and you refused to accept my office managers apology or attempt to remedy the situation, you just repeatedly accused us of lying about it really going to junk, not caring and not wanting your business etc.

We have many satisfied customers and while we try to make everyone happy the truth is we are human and we will fall short sometimes. It's unfortunate that your expectations and our abilities did not align today but we hope that you were able to find someone to help you out.

If you weren't able to get help I will personally come out tomorrow if you need. I will also reach out to my web developer and see if there is something I can do to prevent submissions from going into the junk folder because it's very inconsistent of the ones it does send to the folder.
