People don't want to take Eagle to the frontage road because the people on the frontage road that DIDN'T cross over and nearly cause a wreck turning onto Graham are still doing 60mph as they pass Eagle.

That should be addressed directly, not by adding a light somewhere else.

I'm a young old. Just moved back here after 32 years away. Live on Eagle until we buy. What the hell is so difficult or confusing about yielding to the inside (left) vehicle and merging when safe. I don't understand why roundabouts are objectionable by people with no education in traffic management and who are apparently unable to adapt to simple rules of the road.

I like roundabouts that have the proper safe radius (as discussed earlier). As you stated, yielding and merging when safe is not an issue, when a driver has enough room (and time) to determine when and if it is safe.

Texans are just learning about these marvelous traffic control intersections, but the problem is that retrofitting them to existing narrow roads can be a challenge.

Longmire is now open to 2 way traffic but it appears someone stole the circle last night.

It's still one way northbound. Interested to see how this all shakes out with the road closure of the west side of Eagle.

There are Road Closed barriers covering half the road on Starling and Lorikeet to keep people from cutting thru the neighborhood which is a good thing but it still wouldn't stop some going through. Been witnessing that and people simply turning around on Eagle and going back west to figure a way out.

They must have changed it back because at 9am, I drove down it both directions.

Drove by it earlier, traffic is northbound one-way with traffic back in the right lane. Construction hopefully will be done in mid-August, but only time will tell if that happens. Anyone who works construction knows delays happen, and no-one likes delays even construction crews. The wet summer we had early on caused some major delays for the project.

The "roundabout" at Eagle and Longmire reminds me of the roundabout at Esther and Bennett that the CoB constructed a few years ago. That roundabout was way too small (radius) and after a few months CoB had to tear it up and revert to the old T intersection.

Shall we take bets on how long this new roundabout on Longmire lasts?

At student pick-up time in the afternoon at the IRL school, a line forms on the northbound side of Longmire and can back up quite a distance. When that HS opens, it will compound the situation and will be a nightmare if it backs up to the roundabout, essentially shutting it down.
